Some people prefer to be sneakier and trickier, fight along side others, and some might find it inhumane. They get better fame and are more reknown outside the arena than in and likely get paid quite a bit more. People who are reknown mercenaries or have a good job paying quite a bit of money likely won't want to risk their lives in the arena. Just because someone is grand master of the arena doesn't mean they're the baddest of the bad. As to the original poster the game scales like other people have mentioned but I have a roleplay explanation for it. Throw in a few health potions and it simply becomes unfair. Focus on strength/endurance with warrior birth sign and you easily plow right through the other combatants. That 50 damage frost touch you can use once per day is mean. Some race/class combinations are rather easy. Now you have around 3000 gold and can fight in the Arena once a week for a little bob.How? Even with level-scaling and a heavily-armored knight, I've never been able to do it at level 2. Talk to Ysabelle (i think that's her name) to complete the quest and grab that 50G. If you did not then use the same Tactic as above with a little healing here and there incase you get damaged.Ī quick pointer would be to save before hand anyway like you should before every fight. If you did complete the Side Quest then just Slash 'n' Smash his ugly mug.Ģ. If not then you can do either of these:ġ. (You start with one of these anyway but if you want a stronger one then simply buy or make one.) As the others have mentioned doing the Side Quest : Origin of the Gray Prince will make it insanely simple, and if you have a really good sneak skill you can use a Bow & Arrow, Headshot, falls forward like a ragdoll. Make sure you have a sword (duh!) and a healing spell just in case.
